I like to think of myself as a chameleon of sorts. I enjoy blending my diverse passions with the people, cultures, and systems that surround me. Contrary to popular belief, chameleons are not imitators, but innovators. They manipulate their skin structure to alter how light reflects off of nanocrystals within their cells, effectively changing their color. That’s what I hope to achieve as a
bioengineer: strategically tinker with what nature has given us to create novel applications in healthcare and beyond. Of course, a chameleon often wears many skins.
Outside of academics, I spend my time tinkering with
music, whether that's singing, songwriting, beatboxing, arranging, or making music videos. Through my hand-lettering project,
CometsWishCo, I explore the crossover of creativity and communication, blending art, science, and environmentalism into social media. Being an avid martial artist also teaches me the dynamics between an individual and our surroundings, a practice of the spirit just as much as the body (bonus points for applying rotational dynamics and Newton's Laws as well).
And with that: welcome to this ever-changing mind of mine! Find out more about my work by accessing the menu and my
